* Undertaking a systematic study of the American public-pension crisis, focusing initially on unique crisis states that demonstrate various keys to effective and timely reform. The first article, The Lead Lemming: Illinois on the Pension-Crisis Brink, commissioned by George Mason University’s Law & Economics Center, appeared in the Journal Of Law, Economics & Policy (2018). Commissioned and published by the Mercatus Center: (a) A Lost Generation, But Renewed Hope: Oregon’s Pension Crisis & the Road to Reform; (b) The New Jersey Pension Crisis: Flailing in Deep Waters; and (c) The California Rule and Its Potential Abolition. Drafting popular article and white paper about the Illinois pension crisis under commission from the Reason Foundation. Have placed shorter articles in publications such as The [Portland] Oregonian and other newspapers nationwide and addressed various aspects of the subject in public fora and at private panels, including, most recently, the Institutional Portfolio Summit, Princeton, New Jersey (February 2020).* Published Trusts & Estates In Context with Wolters-Kluwer (Aspen) Publishing.

Taught trusts & estates and administrative law. Developed a stand-alone practice-incorporating, multiple in-semester graded-feedback curriculum for trusts & estates law innovative in the field. Researched issues of pension-reform and legal-education reform.

Taught and/or researched in the areas of property, natural-resources, environmental, trusts & estates, and contracts/sales law. Was offered, and accepted, position of Director of JMLS Elder Law Program. Served on JMLS re-accreditation committee and JMLS Dean's Advisory Group. Began development and in-class deployment of innovative, practice-inclusive and multiple in-semester graded-feedback trusts & estates curriculum as part of acceptance of former position. Developed and presented, at administration request, JMLS Development Office program. Developed and deployed, at faculty request, multi-teaching-assistant, writing-and-practice-inclusive program for first-semester first-year property course. &c.

Taught sales and property law. Researched and wrote articles in the area of property law.
