Working with noted historian John Schofield, we digitally recreated the area surrounding St. Paul's Cathedral circa 1620 in order to produce still images and videos.

As a class, we worked with a client to design, produce construction drawings, and build a post harvest storage facility for the Agroecology Farm on North Carolina State University's campus over the course of 10 weeks.I developed schematic design ideas, built models and mock ups, built formwork, built rebar cages, poured concrete, welded the steel connections, built and erected structural bays, cut and installed purlins, cut and installed fascia, cut and threaded sag rods, installed sag rods, designed and installed a steel screen wall for plants to grow along, and worked to grade the final site.

Faculty Sponsor | Bryan BellWhile NCSU had a Freedom by Design chapter prior to my becoming director, nothing had been built by the program. My goals for the year were to to complete a project and create a format for the future to ensure that the organization continued beyond my tenure.With the help of Bryan Bell and my board of directors, we started doing research into an area perceived as underserved. We visited a local gymnastics facility that prepares athletes for the special olympics as well as heard interviews from connections to our chapter members.Through one of these interviews we connected with a local family that had founded a group home nearby in Cary, NC. As we met with them and learned about what they do, they told us of a need for a playground for the three young men with Autism who live there full time. We then set about creating designs to fulfill the need. We completed the structure during the summer of 2016.
