Hi there! I'm Jessica Alexanderson, also known as Scuba Jess, and I'm thrilled to be the President of Scrap University Kids. I'm based in Seattle, WA and I have a passion for scuba diving and underwater photography. However, during my dives, I noticed a distressing amount of metal and trash in our waters, which led me to make a career change. After working for 15 years at Evergreen Shipping Agency America Corp, I decided to leave my job and join Scrap University Kids. Scrap University Kids is on a mission to make a lasting positive impact on the environment by eliminating metal from the waste stream in just 30 years. We firmly believe that education is the foundation for creating a sustainable future, and that's why we're dedicated to teaching kids that ALL metal can be recycled.Through our programs, we strive to instill the principles of reduce, reuse, and recycle in a new generation of conscious consumers. By choosing to recycle metal, we can help conserve precious resources, reduce pollution, and protect our natural environment.Unlike other materials, metal can be recycled indefinitely, which makes it an essential material to target in our recycling efforts. Together, we can create a better world for future generations, one can at a time.Visit our website kids.scrapuniversity.com to learn more about our educational resources, including coloring pages and worksheets. Let's work together to make a positive impact on our planet and leave a better world for generations to come!In addition, I organize clean-up dives to collect trash from the ocean and recycle what we can. I love sharing my underwater experiences with kids and showing them how they can help protect our planet through fun and easy actions. Let's work together to protect our incredible ocean planet and create a better future for the next generation!Live Long and Prosper!🖖🤿 Scuba Jess
