Powerboard turns your group of friends into a e-sports team.Powerboard consumes your game data, digest it and then start generating indexes and tracking yourgame activity over time.I knew from the start off that I had to keep as much data integrity as possible, but structure it in a waythat was easy enough to create indexes that made sense cross-game.Perhaps one of the most technically challenging platforms I have ever had to design.I faced design nightmares such as:- Both unstable and unreliable APIs to fetch data, meaning the system must be fault tolerant at anygiven point.- Every game has completely different data structure, and every datapoint has a different meaning in thecontext of a different game.- Gamers are tech savvy and the competence was fierce, so anything below great wasn't going to work.- Games get obsolete fast! So the design must allow extremely fast game integrations.After one failed attempt that costed us a month of development, we landed a superb design thatenables fast iterations.
