Liaised among all engineering disciplines, Navy technical labs (Applied Physics Lab), customer representatives and external suppliers to engineer and deploy the currently fielded cooperative engagement processor, resulting in hugely successful IOC live-fire demonstrations leading to an LRIP contract award. Reduced overall program costs by >$4M by leading cross-functional design team efforts to conceive, design and produce 29 “standalone” versions of the tactical cooperative-engagement processing system by providing a more affordable, reliable and available platform for developers, war-gaming and simulation staff.

Specified, procured and integrated a variety of programmable electro-mechanical actuators, optics, rate-tables, lasers, pulse-generators and automated test equipment. Implemented FORTRAN/77 and compiled BASIC to control all aspects of the emulated flight-environment and to facilitate real-time data collection. Reduced test times from eight hours to only 62 minutes by employing strategic test sequencing and automation algorithms, allowing repeatability and production rates to be greatly enhanced.
