My tasks consisted in drafting legal documents, analytical papers and reports synthetizing complex stories and analyzing facts with legal documents found through personal research. I developed clear goals that were consistent with agreed strategies of the Moroccan operation such as finding a new procedure to work on economic migrants asking for asylum in Morocco. My role also required organization skills, which I demonstrated in my everyday task as I had tight deadlines to submit my papers and review contracts. Since, the caseload of asylum seekers is important, I collaborated closely with the members of my team and learnt from the management to enhance the results delivered by UNCHR. And lastly, I gained valuable soft skills that will serve me in my future endeavors: discretion and emotional intelligence. I also developed my clear and systematic thinking that demonstrates good judgment and problem-solving competencies in using human rights treaties mechanisms. In fact, most of the people I interviewed were vulnerable: child soldiers, HIV positive, victims of SGBV or part of the LGBT community, etc.
