Hi! I am a student at Griffith University studying a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. Throughout my studies, I aim to build key clinical skills and knowledge, that I can implement into not only my work, but in daily life, whilst making a positive contribution to the healthcare industry. My heavy involvement in sport from a young age inspired me to embark on a career within the health industry. I can offer the following skills:- Communication: through my job in retail, I have developed the ability to communicate effectively with people of all backgrounds and age brackets. This is a transferrable skill that I will apply to my future job, and will help me to reason with my patients and diagnose appropriately. - Teamwork: from my participation in sports such as swimming, and volleyball, as well as completing my Certificate III in Fitness, I am equipped to work within a multidisciplinary team and attain a high quality of patient care.- Leadership: through my experience in retail, I have become a senior casual team member, and have helped to train and provided an example for junior staff members. I have also gained the opportunity to manage stock which has further developed my leadership. This will ensure that in future job opportunities I am prepared to lead a team of health professionals in their research.These skills would be beneficial to team environments, and furthermore to the overall functioning, operating and service of any company.
