I am a PhD Candidate in the Department of Politics at York University, Toronto, Canada, specializing in Political Theory and International Relations. With an MA in Philosophy from the University of Ottawa and a BA in Political Science and Philosophy from the Université de Montréal, my research interests include social and political thought, the postmodern debates, democratic theory, and postcolonial theory. My doctoral dissertation focuses on the relationship between democracy and the state, examining the differing perspectives of French political theorists Marcel Gauchet and Miguel Abensour within the evolution of postwar political theory in France.
