Senior Technical Analyst
CurrentAt Ogier I work as a senior member of the Infrastructure team and as a team we provide management, monitoring, maintenance and development of the Ogier IT Infrastructure estate across seven different jurisdictions. This includes; HPE Server hardware, Microsoft Server (up to Server 2019) operating systems, Active Directory, Exchange, VMware, HP 3Par SAN storage array technologies, Microsoft Systems Centre, Cisco (routers, firewalls and switches), Citrix technologies, backups, Mimecast and the rollout of new systems including hardware and software. We also provide support to the other IT departments as well as mentoring of junior IT employees.The following are some of the major projects I have been involved with during my time with Ogier:• Separation from the Fiduciary side of the business causing Ogier to implement a completely new IT infrastructure. The separation project included design, implementation and migration of data centres, SANs, servers, networks, firewalls, Active Directory, Exchange, backup solution, VMware vSphere, DNS, DHCP, DFS, Mimecast, Active Directory PKI infrastructure, Group Policies and Preferences, new WAN and VPN and the migration of users and data• Replacement of Cisco voice technologies with Skype for Business, including design and implementation • Re-design and re-deployment of Citrix to centralise systems and provide remote access using Citrix Machine Creation Services technologies• Replacement of Cisco ASA firewalls with Palo Alto firewalls• Replacement of Veeam with Arcserve UDPOther projects during my time with Ogier have been; Global Protect, implementation of Citrix ADC (NetScaler) GSLB and load balancing, Azure AD implementation, implementation of NetApp SAN, RSA SecurID appliances, Palo Alto on-premise Endpoint Security Manager (Traps) on servers, Carbon Black anti-virus implementation on workstations, Migration of Microsoft Exchange from 2013 to 2016 and Migration of Microsoft Domain Controllers from 2013 to 2016
