The Global UTM Association (#GUTMA) is a nonprofit based in Lausanne, Switzerland. Our goals are to:a. Identify actions to be taken to safely, securely and efficiently integrate Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) into national airspace systems;b. Draft and distribute an interoperability blueprint for traffic management of UAS;c. Collaborate with regulators and other stakeholders worldwide to identify standards, as well as scalable and compliant technical solutions, to the development of UAS Traffic Management (UTM) systems;d. Instigate and facilitate partnerships between manned and unmanned users of the airspace;e. And engage with other associations and groups facing similar challenges.

- Responsible for the eBee, eBee+, eBee X series and albris world-wide airworthiness approvals and certifications (airworthiness and special approvals). Obtained certifications for USA, France, Canada, Brazil, Netherlands, Singapore, etc.- Follow-up of drone regulations and projects related to safety, airspace aspects, compliance and key functions such as detect & avoid, surveillance and identification.- Lead projects for BVLOS flights and UTM services (air traffic, airspace and geo-awareness, identification, tracking, authorisation, logbook, obstacles, weather, etc.), with our partners (AirMap, uAvionix, DroneLogbook, AeroMap, etc.).- Member of JARUS WG-6 (Specific Operational Risk Assessment - SORA), Standard Scenario Precision Agriculture, review of the deliverables.- Member of SESAR Joint-undertaking Drone Outlook Study group- Member of board at UVSI (observer)- Member of board and founding member of GUTMA (Global UTM Association) https://www.gutma.org/- Active contributor to the www.droneregulations.info website- Member of Drone Manufacturer Alliance Europe (DMAE), including Parrot and DJI.- Project Manager and Flight Director for the first U-space demonstration in Europe, on 14th September 2017: www.skyguide.ch/en/events-media-board/u-space-live-demonstration/ in partnership with skyguide, AirMap and SITAONAIR.- NASA UTM TCL3 : senseFly project manager, in collaboration with Virginia Tech- Swiss U-Space Implementation : senseFly project manager, in collaboration with AirMap, skyguide and SITA.

GROUND CREW- Support for ground movements of the aircraft, during taxi, take-off and landing and ground solar-charges,- Construction of the mobile hangar, and 24/7 surveillance and monitoring,- Support to the local events organized for the partners and the public.

Projects:• Project Manager for "Stripless Switzerland (SLCH)". Implementation of a stripless environment in Geneva ACC and Zürich ACC. Project on-going in four steps: Step 1 is in operation since FEB 2012 allowing the implementation of a harmonized technical baseline and the CLAM (Cleared Level Adherence Monitoring) function and a tool measuring the predicted minimum crossing distance between two aircrafts. Step 2 is implemented in Geneva and Zurich since end-2013 with the enhancement and implementation of swiss-wide electronic-coordination, based on Eurocontrol's SYSCO standards. Step 3 is includes a route management model including RAM (Route Adherence Monitoring), new Trajectory Prediction module (O4D) and interface enhancement, it was successfully implemented in Geneva end-2014 and beg-2015 in Zurich. Step 4 was started in parallel and addresses swiss-wide enhanced system Conflict Detection and stack management allowing full paper-strips removal at swiss-ACCs level, planned end-2015 in Geneva and mid-2016 in Zurich. This project is providing support to swiss Virtual Centre Program's first phase. I successfully handed-over this project in January 2015 when I joined the Solar Impulse project. The project was finalized in 2016.• Project Manager for "New Secto Geneva (NSG)". Implementation of a new 6-layered sectorization of the ACC Upper Airspace Geneva, together with the implementation of a new line of responsibility with Italy (Roma/Milano). Project completed in December 2009.• Project Manager of New SID STAR Geneva. New arrival/departure routes structure, and airspace structure. Project frozen due to company's strategy changes.

• Change Management process: - Responsible for the analysis, the coordination, the writing of operational requirements and the follow-up of the implementation of the changes requested by the Operations department to the ATM/CNS equipment and systems.- Re-design of the electronic operational log-book.- Implementation of enhanced weather data display.- Installation and operation of new interphone between Payerne/Geneva military positions and between Geneva APP and Geneva TWR.- Implementation of a new Swiss-wide system for the ILS control and monitoring from TWR.• Surveillance and Navigation domain expertise : - Provision of expertise to support Changes, Project or studies in the field of ATM/CNS:- Evaluation and selection of the new swiss-wide Emergency Radio system, now in operation in Dübendorf control center.- Report for the implementation of a new radar south of the Alps.- Report allowing the optimization of separations minimas in the TMAs of swiss airports, depending on the surveillance data availability and quality.• Support to the team : - Development of new tools for the management and follow-up of the team activities- Co-development of a new support for the planning and follow-up of the company releases- Deputizing of the Team Leader

- Simulation of aircraft movements and radio communication for initial and continuous training of Air Traffic Controllers, on INTRAS and BEST simulators.- Qualification for APP and ACC units (ENREB training airspace and Geneva/Zurich airspaces)- MicroNAV BEST system instructor.

I was able to develop a simulation and a numeric model for the validation of the aircraft basic performances with Matlab/Simulink Flight Dynamics & Control analysis toolbox. This work allowed to highlight the very specific flight qualities and maneuvering qualities of the first Solar Impulse aircraft (HB-SIA).I was also able to provide recommendations in the field of the control of large flexible structures, to ensure the prevention of pilot-induced oscillations.

- Development of a Web-based simulation framework on LabVIEW Simulation Module beta version. - Provided recommendations for the future developments of the released version of the LabVIEW Simulation Module.

Development with I-DEAS/NASTRAN of dummy telescope mirrors to be used for vibration tests on the Planck Telescope. The telescope successfully passed the test and went to mission from 2009 to 2013.
