Simply put, I’m a builder. Not of glass-and-stone corporate buildings across NJ, but rather the companies that protect them. Today, I lead SDG to greater expansion and success as we provide trusted, reliable fire and security protection for commercial and residential clients.The success of our growing roster of companies can be attributed to the three “corners” of SDG culture: One, keeping your word. Next, finding a way and figuring it out. Finally – “Just do it.” I work diligently to instill these in every one of our people, creating a customer-centric approach to impeccable customer service and outstanding client satisfaction.These values were something I learned from my father, Thomas D. Shore, during my youth and while working for his company. The knowledge and ethics gained by being around him are immeasurable, something for which I will be forever grateful.My career began in high school, working nights in his alarm company’s central station. Soon, I realized two things: First, I enjoyed business. Second, I didn’t like working evening or nights. Moving to days, I began selling and growing the company. College was deferred for a decade as I began building our business; but my thirst for more knowledge, business and technical, led me to Rutgers University. Upon graduating, my work as a business builder grew through real estate and commercial ventures, finally returning to my father’s company, which I ultimately did acquired. In the past decade, SDG experienced significant growth, organically and by acquiring several fire protection and safety companies throughout NJ.I’m also proud to be a builder of my community. I’m an advocate for making a wonderful place to live and work. As a founding member of the Flemington Business Improvement District, also serving as Chairman, I worked to win a $1M Streetscape Grant, create an award wining strategic plan and a World Class Branding Project. Building. It’s something I’m good at. It’s something I’ll never stop.
