Notable projects (In order of my favorites):• Philadelphia Orchestra: Digital Asset Management system and Digital Stage. Challenge 1: How to move 100 years of archival recordings into a digital archive? Challenge 2: How to present live and archival performances to online audiences? Work done: Wrote the RFP, managed the project plan, guided vendor selection, shepherded the project through launch. Challenge: Make sure all public school students have fast broadband for digital learning – and for taking online tests without being held back by a slow connection. Work done: Led a team of 10 tech experts to assess each district and develop broadband improvement plans.• Apple Computer: Digital Asset Management strategy. Apple policy says that’s all I can say. I learned a lot from this dynamic company and it was fun spending three months in Cupertino, CA. • Comcast: Digital asset mgt. metadata management. Challenge: How to manage metadata for a DAM system that sprawls across many corporate units, each with distinct objectives and data types, so that it all works harmoniously? Work done: Designed and updated metadata models and folder structures, created standardized metadata table • Noom: Led the selection of the company's first digital asset management solution, starting with defining requirements and ending with signing the right vendor. • NJ Dept of Health: Web Site Modernization. Challenge 1: Thousands of web pages arranged by the department’s organizational hierarchy instead of user experience. Challenge 2: No governance. Each program (dozens) do their own thing online. Work done: Worked with an ace web designer to re-organize the site so it addressed public’s health issues instead of what each program does. Re wrote to avoid insider language. Created a web governance framework including a web editor to ensure continued progress.
