As Director of Customer, Community and Economic Development, Scott leads a team of account managers and economic development professionals focused on supporting and growing Alliant Energy's current commercial, industrial and community customers in Iowa. The team is also actively recruiting new customers to Iowa, while working with partners to develop high-quality industrial and business park sites in the communities Alliant Energy is privileged to serve.Previously, Scott held management positions in Communications, Economic Development and Community Relations with Alliant Energy. Before coming to Alliant Energy in 2003, Scott worked in the Television News industry, mostly as a television meteorologist (using the name Scott Lind) first at KIMT-TV in Mason City, Iowa (1995-96), then WHO-TV in Des Moines, Iowa (1996-97) and finally KCRG-TV in Cedar Rapids, Iowa from 1997 to 2003. In addition, Scott served as Web Content Manager for KCRG.Scott completed a Master in Business Administration from University of Northwestern - St. Paul and graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications with a focus areas in meteorology and political science.Scott is married, with two great kids. Scott resides in Cedar Rapids and is an active member and Past-Elder at Cedar Hills Community Church working extensively within the technical worship ministry.Scott is Past Chair of the Cedar Rapids Community Schools Foundation, Past Chair of the Cedar Rapids Salvation Army Advisory Board, Past President of the Board of Directors for Cedar Valley Viewpoint, a youth summer service project in Linn County, Iowa and Past President of the Friends of Ushers Ferry Board, supporting Ushers Ferry Historic Village in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
