I worked as a Head of R&D Department in this company. I take part in the management of the company, suggest projects and manage them. During the past year and a half with the company, I have developed a centralized personalized prepreg ortheses production technology andmanufacturing procedures. Together with the production department I have developed effective CAD modeling methods for individual shoelasts. Along with the national laser professionals we have elaborated 3D scanning technologies and have developed qualitatively and functionally differentscanner. Together with the University of Technology we are working on the design of classification and recognition systems for 3D objects.

Technical orthopedics is extremely important and interesting field for me. In 2001 I took the offer to join “Pirmas Zingsnis” - the second largest orthopedics services company in Lithuania. The company employed about 100 people at that time. I took the position of Head Engineer. While studying along I tried and applied new technologies to practice. Eventually I became a pioneer of finger cosmetic prosthesis in Lithuania. In cooperation with Kaunas University Clinics I have improved the Halovest System. I took part in the development of the Government O&P products compensation system.

I have experience in making magazines, newspapers, logos, web page design; I have formatted several relatively large shows in Lithuania. I reckon Design as my second specialty; mostly – PrintMedia design. In 1999 the largest daily magazine in Lithuania, Lietuvos Rytas offered me the position of Head of Design Department for the daily magazine appendix for the Kaunas city. Here I have worked on the development of completely new format of the daily magazine appendix, its design, paste-up principles and later on managed preparation related processes. It wasinteresting and at the same time immeasurable experience in the fields of creation and publishing of the daily magazine.

I have started my career in the largest and at that time the only orthopedics company in Lithuania - “Ortopedijos Technika” . I have worked there as Engineer Technologist. My main goal was to learn practical prosthesis and orthesis. I specialized towards arm prosthesis and sophisticated leg orthesis. Followed by the year of intense practice and training in Germany and Russia I became responsible for the implementation of new technologies in the company, formalization and management of O&P processes.
