Responsible for implementing ITIL based service, change and release management processes. Delivered dramatic improvements in product quality, security and audit compliance. Leadership role in a multi-million dollar, global business transformation initiative to unify all internal and external support systems by implementing an enterprise application using the latest Oracle product suite including Siebel 8.0, Fusion middleware and SOA architecture on a Linux platform including high-availability and disaster recovery functions. This infrastructure was to host terabytes of data, providing access to all Oracle customers and thousands of Customer Support professionals with response times less than two seconds on frequently used views.

Reduced customer support requests by over 50% within two years by implementing proactive alerts, system monitoring and SLA based processes for critical production systems. Reduced product release cycle by 50% while implementing effective processes to control operational costs at 50% of industry standards Contributed to Siebel product quality by deploying pre-beta versions of Siebel CRM components in production and providing real world feedback before the beta program.

Implemented a “buy” instead of a “build model within a year of starting at myCFO. Developed a strategic Information & Technical architecture for all Back Office applications; build an Applications Engineering platform using third party application portfolio to provide accounting and CRM functionality required to support the myCFO customer portal. A previous investment of over 60 person years of development in a custom application had not resulted in the target deliverable. myCFO provided financial services for high net-worth individuals including bill pay, investments, taxes and legal.

Started with an employee base of 50 and built an IT infrastructure that was required for the company IPO in 1999. Provided a major value add to Marimba (Castanet) technology by fully automating the process from Quote to Invoice, integrating Sales Force Automation in Vantive with License generation in Castanet and Invoicing in Great Plains with real-time update on the customer facing portal. Marimba was founded by the team that created Java at Sun, built the first Java based commercial application that enabled software distribution across the internet.

Provided technical leadership to an ongoing multi-million dollar Oracle Financials ERP implementation project that was successfully completed in time. I also defined technology architecture, selected tools and technologies, designed pilot application, created development infrastructure for testing and production rollout

Gupta Technologies was the first company to provide a SQL database that ran in less than 8MB and the first GUI based client-server application development tools. I joined when the company was around a 100 employees and developed a methodology for improving product quality by using the company products in-house and providing valuable feedback as a pre-beta customer. As part of the IPO requirement, implemented business process for Sales Force Automation, CRM using Vantive, License & Warranty Tracking using Gupta’s own products SQLBase and SQLWindows.Gupta Technologies was the first company to provide a SQL database that ran in a small footprint and the first GUI based client-server application development tools.

Responsible for development of a comprehensive hotel information system including a strategic enterprise data model for all hotel operations. Managed 24x7 IT operations and support for mission critical on-line users.
