I am a Transport and Traffic Engineer, my expertise ranges from developing public transport plans, traffic impact assessments, integrated transport plans, freight planning and fleet management. I gained considerable experience in road maintenance during her tenure as Head of the Regional Operations Department at Johannesburg Roads Agency, which was a good training ground for the knowledge acquired in infrastructure asset management. Additionally, I am a Project Management specialist, practicing in scope development, project preparation, feasibility studies and stakeholder management. I have considerable experience in transport operations management that I gained during the 2010 FIFA World Cup as the transport manager. My leadership skills were tested in the various roles I played during my career, from managing a team of 17 direct reports and over 1200 volunteers during the World Cup. This role included managing a fleet of sponsored vehicles from Hyundai and KIA. Also, managing a team of 11 direct reports and 1300 general workers at Johannesburg Roads Agency and fleet management including maintenance vehicles and plant fleet.In my current job, I am a Project Manager/Technical Assistant for the PINK Programme. I am responsible for the coordination of the development of the Local Government Infrastructure Development Management System Toolkit (LG IDMST) related activities that are being implemented in the eight pilot municipalities, including stakeholder management, and contributing towards interventions to address fruitless and wasteful expenditure in the PINK pilot municipalities.
