In this role I worked with my manager in developing Intercity’s new phone system, Orbit. Here I had a pivotal role in implementing the IP telephone system from the early stages by developing features, building bespoke telephone systems as well as installing and integrating Orbit in to Intercity’s own infrastructure and some Intercity’s largest customers which requires a high level of networking knowledge. I also mapped the process which is still in use by the team today.In this role I also gained an accreditation in SIP from the SSCA SIP School and gained skills in telephony such as ISDN/ISDN gateways, VoIP, IP authenticated SIP Trunks, writing XML config files for IP phones and much more.
