Working as a liaison between various IT departments, lines of business management, and architecture approval boards. Creating High Level designs, costs estimates, and budgeting estimates that are used to implement solutions that are standards driven, cost effective, and meet the business’ goals. These designs range in size from single applications to complete lines of business.

Lead Engineer responsible for designing and maintaining the Colonial Bank voice and data network infrastructure consisting of Cisco 6500 series, 4500 series, 3750, 3560, 3550, and 2900 switches and Cisco 7200, 3700, 2800, and 2600 series routers.

• Design, plan, monitor, test, troubleshoot, maintain, document, upgrade, and configure Maxwell Air Force base LAN systems.• Support the wired infrastructure consisting of Cisco 6513s, 6509s, 4506s, 4503s, 3750s, 3560s, 3550s, 2900s, 2960s.• Support the wireless infrastructure consisting of Cisco 1200 and 1130 access points, Aruba AP65 and AP70 access points, and Aruba model 6000 controllers.• Train lower level technicians.• Configure DHCP server scopes.• Configure and install cryptographic devices.• Configure and maintain Solarwinds network monitoring tools.

Maintain and support a backbone network made up of Nortel Passport 6480s with Frame Relay over ATM Trunks, Frame Relay T1 circuits, ATM DS3 and Sonet OC-3 and OC-48 connections; 750+ branch locations and ATM machines with Passport 4400s running, TCP/IP, IPX, SNA, and Voice over Frame Relay; create and maintain documentation and drawings of the network as well as create training aids for second level support group, support an OC-48 Sonet ring, support 1500+ branches and 1500+ ATM machines utilizing both Cisco and Nortel equipment. Design and LANs for new building and campus environments, redesigned LAN’s for existing buildings, design WAN connectivity based on user counts, application usage, and cost effectiveness, implement new LAN/WAN technologies to meet new customer needs, implement disaster recovery solutions for network connectivity, create and implement company standards.
