About Sean Bert

Before Fullstack, I worked in the management consulting and commercial real estate industries. Intrigued by the data- and tech-centric projects I encountered as a professional, I decided to study software engineering and work as a developer full time.As a student at Fullstack, I studied the MEAN stack and worked with a team to develop an API-testing desktop app using Electron.As a fellow at Fullstack, I learned Sequelize, an ORM for PostSQL, and subsequently taught the SANE stack and computer science concepts to 85 students. I served as a mentor and tutor to a group of seven students, guiding them through the rigors and aggressive pace of Fullstack's curriculum (all seven students are on-track to successfully complete the program).As a member of Fullstack's engineering team, I made significant contributions to Fullstack's internal education platform (LearnDot). My primary focus was on the UI and underlying algorithm used to pair Fullstack students during workshops, a sensitive process that dramatically impacts students' experience during the program.And as a member of Fullstack's admissions team, I was entrusted with the responsibility of interviewing prospective students and recommending promising candidates for admission to the program, shaping the student body at Fullstack for months to come.
