Planning and development of the Electric Garden interactive learning platform with lesson content, support documentation, and online projects for students and teachers, designed to encourage and normalise access, understanding, and application of digital technologies, to empower teachers to deliver hands on, meaningful content aligned with the New Zealand Curriculum.The Electric Garden is a learning tool that combines digital technologies and computer programming with the outdoor environment. The Electric Garden integrates Internet of Things hardware with an interactive learning platform where students use the device as the basis of an authentic context to connect digital technologies with science, mathematics, statistics, language, culture, and beyond! The digital device is designed to be handled by the students, with five sensors that monitor different aspects of the garden environment, and with an online portal to view and interact with the data in real time.Some of my responsibilities and achievements include:-planning and developing educational content-graphic design for use online and in print-designing, constructing, and publishing web pages and online educational resources-coordinating with a development team to identify, build, and apply new software functionality-working with programs and workflows including GIT, Visual Studio Code, and Markdown-coordinating outreach and ongoing liaison with schools to successfully implement the platform and engage with feedback to ensure the effectiveness of resources

Onsite monitoring, direction, and supervision of works within the vicinity of trees to ensure adherence to relevant tree protection and management requirements. Coordination with parties whose main focus may not be the protection of surrounding trees to effectively care for the local environment during construction and development. Employed with the Niyodogawa Town Board of Education, I designed, prepared, and conducted lessons of English as a foreign language (EFL) as an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT). I coordinated team-teaching lessons with Japanese Teachers of English (JTE) at two junior high schools, lead English lessons at three elementary schools, and facilitated English lessons and early learning activities at four nursery schools in Niyodogawa Town.Some of my responsibilities and achievements included:-Attending nine schools on a rotating schedule-Planning and leading English classes at each school and every level-Assessing students' English writing, reading, speaking, and listening skills-Exposing students to cultural conventions and ideas outside of their normative experience-Establishing and maintaining working relationships with co-workers across various professional environments-Communicating effectively in both English and Japanese-Coaching select students in English oration for competitive speech eventsIn addition to school, I dedicated much of my time outside of work to participate in local events with and in support of my students, their families, and the community at large. Some of my involvement included:-Participating in Parent-Teacher Association [PTA] functions (meetings, trips, receptions, etc.)-Supporting student team sports at local, regional, and national tournaments-Participating in local festivals and celebrations organized by schools, local governments, temples and shrines, etc.-Organizing and conducting supplementary study and mentoring opportunities for students

Fabricated scale models and dioramas of architectural projects.Some responsibilities and achievements included:-Creating and assembling precision scale models by hand-Accurately portraying design elements for critical evaluation and translation into real-world construction-Ensuring models were comprehensible and engaging to appropriate audiences (clients, contractors, community councils, etc.)

Taught personalized private lessons of guitar fundamentals for beginner level students of all ages. Designed lessons to guide students in discovering music at their own pace and on their own terms, encouraging natural pattern recognition, drawing creative connections, and performing independently with confidence.Some responsibilities and achievements included:-Promoting and advertising my private lessons-Coordinating weekly private lessons with as many as 10 students-Designing lessons and teaching techniques specific to each student'The Janky Method' was a title for this self-employment project that I derived from my focus on the needs and interests of each student. 'Janky' invokes the sense of a patchwork of skills developed unconventionally, while my 'method' sought to reinforce those skills by building upon students' strengths and fueling their budding passion for music.
