Enforce safety policies and correct usage of all gymnasium equipment to ensure student wellbeing, along with creating a welcoming space for newcomers and experienced lifters.

The NASA Student Airborne Research Program (SARP) is an eight-week research opportunity based along the Western shore of California. Through this program, I had the incredible chance to fly on the P-3 and B-200 aircraft to collect atmospheric samples in real time, as well as participate in ground truthing trips to collect whole air samples at the Salton Sea. In my research, I analyzed whole air samples collected during our low approaches into Long Beach Airport, which revealed elevated levels of methane and ethane gas concentrations. By using Python, QGIS, and comparing my findings with studies from the Rowland-Blake Laboratory at UCI, I was able to determine that the high concentrations originated from a natural gas source. Further analysis indicated that the leak was not from nearby oil and gas wells, but rather from a larger source affecting both the Long Beach and Santa Ana regions.
