In my current role as Corporate Safety & Work Methods Advisor, I development, implementation and maintenance corporate programs consistent with OHSAS 18001 Health & Safety Management System. I help coordinate, develop and deliver safety related training, with a strong focus on Line Operations. I am an advisor to our Line Operations group. Other key focuses in my position include Flame Resistant Clothing Specifications, Fall Protection, Grounding & Bonding Code Team, Risk Management/Job Safety Planning Code Committee, and program development and delivery for our Powerline Technicians and Apprentices in High Voltage Rubber Glove, Aerial Device, and Tension Stringing Equipment. I am a member of the Provincial Advisory Committee to the Powerline Technician Program with the Department of Education, Industrial Training Division. I am a member of the Technicial Advisory Committee (TAC) of the Power Line Hazards Program with Workplace Health, Safety & Compensation Commission. I assist our Transportation Department in the specifications of our Aerial Devices. I am member of the hiring team for our Powerline Technicians. I am a member of our Work Methods Committee. I oversee our Electrical Safety for Firefighter's presentation and training. And as required with any job, all other assigned duties as required.
