Serves as FHFA’s Senior Deputy General Counsel for Administration and Designated Agency Ethics Official. In this senior executive role, I lead the Administrative Law Group and coordinate legal advice and training on ethics and compliance, contracting, privacy, mortgage fraud, internal controls and investigations, research and statistics, records management, budget, and whistleblower protection issues. The Administrative Law Group represents FHFA in labor, employment and bid protests.

Served as the lead ethics attorney for the Office of Federal Student Aid. Researched and prepared legal memoranda on complex matters governed by the criminal conflict of interest statutes, Hatch Act, Federal Acquisition Regulations and ethics regulations. Designed and delivered interactive ethics training sessions for managers. Certified financial disclosure reports for senior officials and consulted with the White House Counsel’s Office and the Office of Government Ethics for Presidential nominees requiring Senate confirmation. Negotiated strategic partnerships with private corporations.

Advised the Special Counsel to the President for Ethics and Government Reform with respect to the vetting of Presidential nominees subject to Senate confirmation.
