My duties include measuring and making accurate cuts to parts, ensuring all parts are assembled correctly and inspecting and testing all finished products. When I first discovered The Auroran, I was hired on as a freelance sports reporter. The position had me chasing the Aurora Tigers, interviewing the players post game and following up with the coach before and after matches. Once the Tigers were eliminated from the playoffs, I was hired on as freelance videographer, editor and co-director of the show "Our Town". As videographer, I met a lot of great people, attended and filmed some great events and had the opportunity to edit all of my own work for publishing on their website. The Auroran opened many doors for me, the job even took me up in a hot air balloon, where for five minutes, I cursed like a sailor and begged the pilot to put me back safely on the ground. It's a good thing I edited the audio out.

While I was only a temp with Corus, I had the opportunity to see the other side of television. Not everyone can be a cameraman, or anchor, some of us choose to be behind the scenes. At Corus, I helped to re-package a number of incoming videos. We tested audio, ensured closed captioning and reviewed episodes for black spots and holes.

Aside from yearbook in high school, this is where it all started. I owe a lot to the Bulletin, because they gave me a chance to write for them monthly, even if it was a short movie review. They were short reviews, but they let me speak my mind. Looking back, there was one review I never wrote, I wanted to, but the people deserved better. Spiderman 3, worst comic film ever.
