WAREHOUSE MANAGER/TRANSPORT DUTY MANAGERWINCANTON LOGISTICS B&Q IC WAREHOUSE MANAGER 2008-OCTOBER 2015I have moved to WINCANTON logistics from a B&Q external contract to undertake managing the installation centre warehouse within the B&Q BRANSTON RDC.The remit for this role is one of the same as with my previous employer along with having combined four smaller warehouses into one larger operation, along with the addition of managing a small reschedule orders holding area for the delivery to home network. I have worked directly for B&Q and also with an external contractor, Mansfield installations undertaking the above role.I have 16 direct staff who report to myself, we manage a just in time pick and dispatch warehouse with direct contact to outside suppliers who also just work with ourselves to for fill customers’ orders within this remit. My department manage all aspect from procurement to dispatch. I also deputize for a transport manager planning staff and allocation of resources. Project managed the Procurement of a new site and its refurbishment.We were able to reduce rental expenditure by 80%, over a three-year term.
