As a cashier, it was my responsibility accurately exam items brought to the cash register and scan each item being purchased into the system. I was responsible for accepting payment via cash or credit as well as properly accept product returns. Each item would be checked while being scan for accuracy. Customer service was most important with each customer interaction. I would provide customers with advice on location product and answer any questions related to that product that I was trained on. Primarily, I worked in Lawn and Garden Center and Lumber to assist with customer questions and loading while tending to the register.
