Principal
CurrentAs a planner, urban designer, and landscape architect, I bring more than 30 years of professional experience to Texas and beyond. My value is solving a critical challenge with a diverse range of clients. I thrive on achieving the client’s vision and exceeding the project goals. It starts with my motivation to solve challenges collaboratively. The clients I serve span the transect from urban infill PUDs and renowned mixed-use communities to walkable neighborhoods stitched into the fabric of the local culture. My expertise includes rural destinations, conservation developments, preservation, and expert testimony. Designing places in a time of "stranger danger" is a challenge I relish. My experience is in creating livable and economically viable places. I strive to connect people to people and nature while protecting our vulnerable resources. Achieving this goal addresses one of today’s most pressing challenges and makes me hopeful for our future. As an advocate for sustainable urbanism, I work with a wide range of developers, municipalities, and non-profits. My belief in civic responsibility includes being a former president of the Central Texas Chapter of The Congress of New Urbanism, serving on the City of Austin Zoning and Platting Commission, and the Real Estate Committee for Austin Habitat for Humanity. I have lived and practiced in South Africa and Southern California, where I practiced on mixed-use developments throughout the Pacific Rim. My registrations include Professional Landscape Architect, LEED AP, and TxDOT Precertification, 1.4.1 Land Planning/Engineering.
