Provided consulting services to the then €800 million UK and Ireland listed food manufacturer in relation to its proposed merger with a UK listed competitor – Northern Foods.Responsible for the preparation and delivery of the Shareholder Prospectus required to effect the Merger as well as all related investor presentations. Acted as key liaison with all professional advisors including sponsors, reporting accountants, stockbrokers, registrars and lawyers.

After a 9 month career break to travel, returned to Ireland to act on a full time consultancy basis as Interim Group Financial Controller for this €100 million FMCG based in Drogheda, Ireland. Preparation of annual statutory financial statements of the Group.Detailed overview of the Group’s tax reporting, retraining of the Group’s finance team.Review of intra-group trading and funding to facilitate the wind-up of dormant group companies.

Previously based in Dublin, Ireland and known as IAWS Group plc, ARYZTA AG is a large €4.8 billion Food company now currently listed on the Swiss Stock Exchange and headquartered in Zurich. Former parent company of Origin Enterprises plcPrior to the set up of ARYZTA AG, managed the preparation, oversight and publication of the IAWS Group plc (2006 to 2008) and Origin Enterprises, plc (2007 to 2008) annual and interim reports – prepared under IFRS. Acted as key liaison with the Group’s internal and external auditors on all reporting matters.Prepared and reviewed the statutory financial statements for approximately 100 subsidiaries based in Ireland, UK and France.Instrumental member of the team which affected a transformational corporate restructuring in 2007 resulting in IAWS Group plc carving out its Agri-Services business and forming a new separate plc – Origin Enterprises (see above). Responsible for the financial reporting and shareholder prospectus requirements around the Group’s subsequent merger in 2008 with Switzerland based Hiestand AG to form the currently named ARYZTA AG.Spent 6 months in Zurich, Switzerland to implemented a 4-4-5 reporting system and oversee the integration of the recently acquired Hiestand AGAccounting for various acquisitions throughout the course of this post - including Otis Spunkmeyer and LaBrea Bakeries in the U.S. which I visited in order to facilitate integration.

Returned from the US KPMG practice as Audit Manager after a 3 year secondment and was promoted to Associate Director in the KPMG Dublin practise.During this time, I was trained in IFRS and was able to apply my experience gained in the US working with Sarbanes Oxley to the Dublin offices significant US based client group.Key audit clients in this period included:IAWS Group plc, Philips Electronics, Inamed Aesthetics, Airtricity Group, NTR Group.

After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in Dublin and completing my initial 3 year training contract with Arthur Andersen, I took up a position as Audit Senior in the US with Arthur Andersen's Seattle practise.
