My responsibilities included development, implementation, and leadership of the Bank Operations Quality Control Team. Our Quality Control and Process Improvement analysts are focused on mitigating risk and validating processes and procedures in order to identify ways to enhance processes, improve efficiency, and add value in Bank Operations.

My responsibilities included leading and managing a team of Quality Control and Process Improvement analysts. Our focus was on identifying trends and mitigating risks for Consumer, Business Banking, and Commercial Loans. My team was also responsible for the Exception Dispute process where we were the voice of reason between our Business and Loan Operations partners. We were also heavily involved in quality control reviews and projects, as well as vendor quality reviews, dealing with regulatory items such as the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA) and Flood insurance. I was also an administrator of the Bank Operations Leadership Development (BOLD) Program. BOLD is a leadership program that I helped develop as a way to build up bench strength for emerging leaders in Bank Operations at Regions. The program includes classroom and online training, as well as a senior management mentor, departmental rotations, and a community service project.

My responsibilities included leading and managing a team of Reconcilement specialists. We reconciled approximately 500 general ledger and 12-15 demand deposit (DDA) accounts for our Consumer, Commercial, Business Banking, and Credit Card portfolios. We were also responsible for compiling information for the quarterly Federal Call Report. Automation was a major focus during my tenure and we were able to automate the reconcilement of over 400 of the general ledger and DDA accounts we were responsible for.

I was the manager of the Birmingham cash vault. My responsibilities included leading a team of Vault tellers responsible for processing large commercial deposits. We were also responsible for preparing and processing cash orders for our branch network in Birmingham, Huntsville, and Montgomery. Additional responsibilities included vendor management, troubleshooting customer service issues, coaching, and team building.

I managed a team of maintenance specialists in Debit Card Services. We were responsible for all forms of maintenance pertaining to Debit Cards, such as address changes, limit changes, and instant card issuance. I was responsible for maintaining appropriate levels of card stock at all times. I was also the subject matter expert for our internal Employee Expense card, which is for travel and entertainment purposes.

I was responsible for leading a team of cash management specialists. Our responsibilities included ordering cash for our ATMs and reconciling the cash in our vaults. Other responsibilities included vendor management, data analysis, planning, and customer service.
