My main duties included taking in prep scores from within and beyond the St. Cloud community for the St. Cloud Times website and newspaper. I was also a contributing sports writer and the beat writer for the St. Cloud State Huskies Division II college football team.

I was a contributing sports freelance writer for the Elk River Star News, an ECM Publishers-operated newspaper based in Elk River, Minnesota. I mainly covered high school sports such as Spectrum, Zimmerman, and Elk River.

I covered various college hockey games, primarily at St. Cloud State games but sometimes elsewhere. I tweeted updates and stats from my Twitter account and I interviewed players and coaches from each team for quotes and post stories on USCHO.com after the completion of each game. For this newspaper, I attended sporting events, lined up a few players and coaches for interviews, and organized it all into stories. I also wrote profiles on certain people and I wrote an NCAA hockey tournament preview for the 2012 Frozen Four.
