Lead firmware developer and project lead for firmware for Nevro’s Omnia implantable spinal cord stimulator, a new product offering and a class C medical device. Wrote and maintained the project plan, and performed all firmware development tasks required by Nevro’s SOPs in conformance with IEC 62304. Worked in a multidisciplinary team including Hardware, Operations, ATE, Quality and Regulatory.Project managed and lead the software development of a MedRadio Base Station using the ZL70103 MICS-band transceiver. Wrote requirements, HW & SW descriptions and Trace Matrix. Developed firmware for MSP430 in C. Analyzed antenna-match using network analyzer. Wrote unit tests and verification tests, lead code review, and performed verification tests (including range-tests with phantom fluid, and MedRadio RF tests for IEC-60601-1-2 Electromagnetic Compatibility). Released product to market. Product is in production and deployed worldwide.Collaborated with the Regulatory Affairs team to craft a development strategy involving simultaneous software submissions to the FDA related to the same product while eliminating dependencies.

Firmware engineering and sensor qualification and testing for Salutron's wearable sensor products.Developed firmware in C for the ARM Cortex-M4, as well as Lapis low-power MCU.Implemented RGB ambient light logging feature on wearable device, complete with alerts indicating if light goals are at risk.Researched physiology of how light affects sleep in order to set default recommended light thresholds. Performed indoor/outdoor data logging to calibrate the sensor. Communicated test fixture requirements to manufacturing along with pass/fail thresholds for Quality Assurance.Took the lead on implementing a physiological model on a wearable device. Selected the model, verified it in MATLAB, implemented it in C, and integrated it into a wearable device.
