Combined Service Route (CSR) for the Sydney Light Rail Project

Design and coordination of the combined services routes for the Sydney Metro Northwest.Interfacing cable ladder and buried conduits with 11kV substations and 33kV Traction substations.Interfaced with a large multi-disciplined team (Architect, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Geotechnical, P-Way and Over Head Engineers)Used BIM (Building Information Modelling) software for coordination with other project disciplines.Project organisation and communication tools used were, Projectwise and Aconnex

Supervised and developed the engineering of large transportable electrical substation of various voltage levels including 132kV, 33kV, 11KV, 6.6kV and LV to Oil and Gas projects around Australia. Including coordination of services within the buildings (lighting and air conditioning).Led the design team in clearly identifying the scope of the projects in order to comply with the customer’s requirements and legal obligations.Led the design team in liaising with customers & suppliers to ensure that project technical requirements were met.Liaised with site managers, site supervisors and sub-contractors to clarify design issues and implementation requirements.Performed ‘Bid Manager’ duties with the tendering team in the preparation and submission of tenders for oil and gas, wind farms, solar farms and a fixed series compensator (FSC) site.

Initiated, designed, planned and managed the construction of electrical LV switchgear for commercial and industrial sectors. Developed & maintained relationships with a diverse range of companies and contractors including ESB (Irish Electric Utility) and Irish Rail. Carried out surveys and prepared reports in energy monitoring and thermal imaging.
