As the leader of Rona's Product Management team, I am responsible for guiding the evolution and acquisition of the entire software product portfolio, with the exception of retail e-commerce solutions. I lead a team of 13 Product and Group Product Managers while also managing key partnerships with professional services firms. Our responsibilities span across store operations, Pro services, merchandising, marketing, supply chain, finance, HR, data warehousing, and BI. Operating at the intersection of 3rd party solutions and proprietary software, including microservices, we collaboratively deliver innovative solutions to meet Rona's evolving needs. In addition to the proprietary software, some of the key 3rd party software solutions my team supports the evolution of includes: Salesforce (Sales, Service and Marketing cloud); Blue Yonder; Oracle; Kronos; and Workday.

Collaborated closely with Rona's Senior Leadership Team and serving as the link between business units and IT, I spearheaded the development of the IT roadmap, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities. My role involved engaging and leading cross-functional teams through the development lifecycle to deliver innovative solutions that met the needs of Rona's customers and internal users.

This was a newly created role to establish a centralized labor management team aimed at advancing and optimizing labor operations across the organization's extensive network. My mandate was to ensure that stores consistently had the right staff, in the right place, at the right times. This involved further integrating our proprietary tool with the Kronos scheduler application to efficiently allocate labor resources throughout the day and across various departments. In recognition of our innovative approach and impactful solutions, we achieved finalist status in the prestigious OCTAS competition in 2016, under the category of 'Business Solutions - In-house or custom development - Large enterprise.' This accolade underscored our commitment to driving excellence and innovation in labor management within the organization."

I spearheaded the development of a proprietary workforce management application tailored to align payroll spend to forecasted sales and service levels across Rona's extensive store network. This encompassed over 200 corporate stores, spanning from Big Box stores to small hardware outlets and Pro-focused lumber yards. The application revolutionized our operations by enabling an aligned forecast between finance and operations, driven by a sophisticated set of algorithms developed by our team. This facilitated accurate labor forecasting, allowing stores to efficiently schedule staff based on anticipated traffic volumes. Additionally, the application provided comprehensive daily reporting on payroll expenditure vis-à-vis budget, alongside forecasted spend derived from planned labor against sales forecasts and trends. This initiative significantly enhanced operational efficiency and cost management across the organization with a 3 month payback while maintaining service levels and customer service ratings.

Projects: - Analysis and re-development Home Depots strategy in Quebec. Analysis included store operations, Quebec culture, competitive environment, target market as well as marketing and promotional strategies. Changes included new marketing strategy, changes in flyer distribution, more regionalized product mix, greater operational and merchandising allignment between stores. - Spring readiness program and guide rolled out across Canada to aid stores with Best Practices and ensure they would be ready in terms of product availability, resources, and operationally to enter the company's highest season. Lead the recruitment team, the leadership & trainee development team, and the training team for a region of 2000 employees. Market included Ottawa, the Seaway east of Toronto as well as parts of Northern Ontario.

This role was a part of the merger team between TD Bank and Canada Trust.In my role, I was part of a team responsible for the successful conversion of the Canada Trust branches across Canada to the new TD Canada Trust. The conversion took place in 4 waves across the country. We had to ensure that over a 4 week period each branch in the wave was ready to operate as TD Canada trust on the conversion date. This included all branding, systems, process, procedures and training needed to be able to successful operate as TD Canada Trust.
