Working in sports has always appealed to me. This is what led me to the decision of enrolling into Metropolitan State University of Denver to take part in the Bachelor of Arts Sport Management program. I have been working since I was 15 years old and over the years, I have gained extensive customer service experience working in retail, the food industry and different areas of sport such as the Colorado Rockies Event Services, the Gold Crown Foundation's sport intern program and Building Manager for Gold Crown Foundation. Throughout my time working for the Rockies, I have gained valuable insight into what it takes to run an event as big as a Major League baseball game. My time at Gold Crown Foundation as their intern has allowed me to gain valuable experience in admin work learning how to navigate Team Sideline and Word Press to help run smooth and efficient sport leagues for the foundation. I earned my Sport Management degree in May 2022 and was offered the Sports Program Event Supervisor position with Gold Crown Foundation shortly after. During my time in this role I have gained extensive experience in the organization and day to day tasks of running events such as Basketball, Volleyball and Golf tournaments. I look forward to gaining more knowledge and experience to make myself a valuable addition to sport organizations and programs in the near future.
