My role on the Sort Technology team is to work directly with software engineers and stakeholders to drive development and adoption of Amazon internal products, enabling a more cost effective, quicker, and defect-free delivery network.- Network Configuration Automation – I personally drove adoption of our team’s new tech which automates the internal transportation network connectivity configurations, eliminating 100% of defects and saving $40MM through improved box selections at fulfillment centers.- Manage delivery roadmap – As a TPM I am responsible for understanding internal and external tech and business dependencies which will affect how we deliver new technology through the year. I manage multiple stakeholders at a global level to ensure the business and tech is moving as efficiently as possible.

My role on the Capacity Planning team is to secure adequate Middle Mile capacity for all partner teams leveraging the Sort Center (NASC) network. To ensure data-driven decision are made, I maintain relationships with all partner teams to keep all parties apprised of latest program goals. In addition to managing relationships with partner teams, I am also responsible for analyzing each respective partner's capacity requirements. As complexity of the network increases, I have driven and personally developed automation of tasks that have reduced deliverable turnaround times by 96%.

My main objectives as an Operations Industrial Engineer were to drive process improvement and facilitate growth in the Amazon Sort Center network for multiple sites. This includes, but is not limited to the following:- Developing engineering plans for operations teams to use to run efficiently- Configuring buildings with optimal floor layouts to reduce waste and to adapt to changing business needs- Leveraging Amazon's vast IT infrastructure to provide data-driven recommendations to improve sort center operations- Collaborating with corporate teams to successfully launch new sort centers- Fostering growth of ancillary Amazon programs routed through the sort center network- Analyzing sort centers' labor constraints and recommend optimal staffing for site operationsDuring my time as an Operations Industrial Engineer I was responsible for eleven (11) total sites located in the United States. Driven by business needs I was responsible for up to four (4) sites simultaneously. These sites included the first three Amazon Robotics Sort Centers for which I developed work standards and metrics.
