Here, I have ensured a strong strategic vision for all areas related to the governance of GDPR & ISO standards across the business. I have led on the development / implementation of the GDPR management and approaches to ensure compliance with the new data protection regulations. A further strand of this role is giving advice & direct support to senior managers; working closely with other departments in the formulation of key strategies, including interventions for the wider organisational change efforts. So far, I have been given very positive feedback for developing `one of the best` frameworks for GDPR (KPMG). Additionally, I chaired the steering group and collaborate at Board level to ensure the Trust is fully compliant to the GDPR and ISO standards within a restricted timeframe. Specific tasks include: project managing a complex data mapping exercise and undertaking `Staff Awareness Training`. Managing the review of security procedures, both physical and logical as well as reviewing and rewriting procedures and policies. Alongside this developing a GDPR audit framework.

This role involved initially undertaking a detailed analysis of the company`s existing processes and methodologies; collaborating with senior managers and providing the `technical expertise` to plan how best to address the issues/requirements found. This meant analysing and defining needs, making recommendations, identifying risks and developing bespoke, technical solutions. Key achievements in this role included: managing a complete site relocation, including planning all infrastructures and the office fit out; managing third parties and coordinating with multiple departments and also leading the transformation of legacy systems to enable efficient and cost effective processes throughput the company`s applications through automation. Other work included• Led the design and implementation of the MIS roadmap to support the transition.• Re-constructed the company infrastructure to support the automation transformation.• Recruited and managed the MIS team from 3 to 9 staff, with 2 direct reports consisting of Infrastructure, Support and Development. • Introduced a planned development framework. • Worked with 3rd party software developers to scope and implement a new grants tracking system utilising Microsoft CRM and Azure SaaS. • Gained ISO 9001, 27001, 22301 and 14001 accreditations and implemented GDPR compliance

Here, I was instrumental in developing a strategic vision for how best to deliver a number of key, transformative projects. To deliver each project I worked using Agile /Waterfall (Prince2) development methodologies, to assess available information, including expenditure and compliance data, to support project governance best practice - ensuring all reporting consistently complies with Legal, Regulatory and Corporate requirements. I led and developed highly effective teams and controlled all aspects of resource utilisation/costs; implementing efficiency measures where appropriate to keep expenditure to a minimum. Following implementation I have led comprehensive workshops and provided thorough supporting documentation to help ensure a full `lessons learnt` closure. Example Projects/Work Completed:● Supported substantial change through design of the business divisions including Healthcare, Life Sciences and Pharmacology while retaining MHRA, CPA, ISO and GxP practices.● Directed the restructure of the LAN/WAN to support the expanding European/USA business.● Maintained PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard.) ● Delivered a bespoke laboratory tracking system (LIMs) and further to integrate into the N3 network.● Implemented e-commerce STi kit supply to fund and charged (over 24) and distribution stock control.● Introduce standardised document management system across the group, Ipassport and later QPulse and also a structured planning approach and compliance to enable the IGSoC certification (ISO27001.)Prior to this role, I have successfully Project Managed/Programme managed technology across multiple sectors for a substantial period of time. I cannot detail the projects delivered (on LinkedIn) but would be happy to discuss this work, which did involve complex, multi-million pound technology programmes and working in international environments.
