I'm a tech nerd who values discipline, creative problem solving, and curiosity. This drove me towards studying Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, where I am a senior enrolled in graduate-level classes focusing on machine learning and digital circuit design.I am a Teaching Assistant for Computer System Programming (ECE209) at NCSU for Dr. Greg Byrd and Professor Jim Carlson. I get to work with brilliant students and help them learn C programming. Additionally, I serve as Head of Outreach for the NCSU Cycling Club and represent my college as an ECE ambassador.While I love technology, I also enjoy the outdoors. I spent my summers in high school biking cross-country, climbing glaciers in Iceland, and backpacking the Colorado Flat-Irons. I enjoy participating in community environmental projects including building biking trails, constructing local park benches, or leading trash pick-ups.My favorite project was biking unsupported ~3500 miles coast-to-coast across the United States in the Summer of 2020. My friends and I biked to raise awareness for a local charity, the Be Loud! Sophie Foundation, which supports young adults in their battle against cancer. Starting in Havre de Grace, MD, and ending in La Push, WA, we documented our journey in a daily blog at BikeLoud.org. The trip raised over $45,000 for Be Loud! Sophie, and left us still ambitious for another project. In the Summer of 2021, we biked from Wrightsville Beach, NC, to Quoddy Head State Park, ME. This ~1800-mile trip raised an additional $25,000 for our cause.My talents lie in creative problem-solving, teamwork, and fast-paced learning. I'm actively expanding my knowledge in Machine Learning, FPGA/ASIC design, and RF technology, which are my main interests in ECE.
