• In Summer 2021, assigned to be the lead engineer on site for a large sewer main project that also included the repaving of a damaged road, parking lot, curb, and sidewalk. Duties included completing a daily report, answering inquiries, and assisting the construction crew. When scheduling permitted, continued to shadow the licensed engineers at multiple other sites throughout the Chicago area.• Shadowed licensed professional engineers at multiple projects including electrical, structural, roadway, sewer, and steel. Responsibilities included utilizing a GPS to pinpoint specific locations on the job site for the construction crew, measuring materials, reviewing the geometrical calculations for accuracy, shadowing construction crews, and completing the engineer’s Inspector’s Daily Report. Oversaw construction crews when the engineer was not at the site which included fielding questions and ensuring accuracy of the work completed.

Working with a team of undergraduate/graduate students and a professor to test slabs of concrete for failure under sustained loads and smaller rebar bond strength tests. Main duties include building of form work, bending and tying rebar, and pouring concrete.
