Review fire reports and payroll entries of district firefighters on a daily basis to ensure accuracy and completeness. Respond to, operate in, and/or command emergency incidents as required and/or assigned. Coordinate post-incident operations and analysis as needed. Coordinate overall training efforts of Eglin Fire & Emergency Services (EFES), District 2, including all aspects of emergency response, disaster planning, emergency management, fire prevention and education, and leadership and management. Supervise and coordinate the tactical methodology used in resolving emergencies and other situations. Provide oversight and coordination of scheduling, selection, evaluation and deployment of EFES personnel. Resolve difficult personnel issues and provide supervision over 14 personnel, military and civilian, ranging from fire officers, driver/operators and experienced firefighters. Maintain a working knowledge of fire codes, ordinances and Air Force regulations. Assists in formulating long and short-range plans, procedures and operating guidelines and provide updates as needed. Coordinate departmental activities and training with other departments and agencies such as, local city and area fire departments. Perform inspections of all district facilities, equipment and personnel. Ensure compliance with Eglin Fire and Emergency Services rules, regulations, policies and management plans.
