Director of Operations Control for Enterprise Integration. The Operations Control teams handle the day to day IT services for a multitude of clients. We provide best in class services for our clients enabling them to focus on core business functionality. The Operations Control team provides: Auditing, Backup Solutions, Facilities Management, Oracle and SQL Database Services, System and Network Monitoring, as well as Security Patch Management.

Global Program Manager responsible for the consolidation and optimization of Citi’s physical database assets globally. Developed and actively manage the virtualization and optimization program for SQL, Sybase, Oracle and DB2. Partnering with Citi’s global engineering and standards organization, worked to certify dedicated virtualized environments for all RDMS database platforms in Citi resulting in optimizations of $13MM in license reductions and $15.5MM hardware to date. Global reference and subject matter expert for database virtualization driving consolidations while providing infrastructure requirements, and strategic planning for all global regions. Address top level escalations for virtualization deviations of databases vetting out systems candidature and providing cost saving justification for virtualization. Review plans and goals with senior management of varying LOBs to merge efforts and forecast resource requirements to support initiatives. Actively developing cloud technologies to support the integration of Oracle and Sybase development servers forecasting a saving of $6.5MM annually. Enhancing virtual infrastructure dedicated to Oracle and Sybase to provide an estimated $27MM reduction in hardware costs per year.

Led the virtualization service delivery teams. Teams worked across lines of business to decommission and migrate Windows, Solaris, and AIX physical machines to ESX and LPAR virtual machines. Teams accomplished a reduction of over 7,000 physical servers a year in an environment with over 80,000 virtual machines. Worked to streamline team processes, build and improve relationships across functional teams, address escalations, and monitor quarterly hardware orders. Functioned as a Regional Asset Manager validating all physical server requests in the North American Region reviewing and approving orders for procurement or submitting for further analysis and justification.

Senior Technical Analyst on the Virtualization Service Delivery Team, managing refresh, consolidation and upgrade projects for clients and acquisitioned teams from multiple lines of business. Guided teams through the end to end process of migrating their physical servers to a virtual environment ensuring proper resource allocation through detailed system analysis and cyclical application review. Cost analysis, project justification, delivery timelines and any physical hardware endorsements provided. Followed either agile or waterfall methodologies dependent on client’s and project needs. Quarterly hardware orders were provided based on upcoming requirements to enable continued virtualizations.

Team manager supporting the Human Resources Domains, infrastructure, the development teams for the .NET and SQL application suites. Worked to update and improve IT functionality through new technologies such as Distributed File Replication, 64 bit hardware, and GB networking. Instituted a non-intrusive maintenance window integrating the global team for support. Successfully migrated all server environments (Dev, QA, UAT, and Production) to strategic datacenters and established a functional Continuity of Business (COB) environment for all Production systems. Restructured data feed environment to include data redundancy and failover for over 250 HR data feeds.

Redesigned the HR Active Directory domains, and instituted Group Policy providing automated desktop, internet, Server and security settings. Designed and implemented an automated security patching process that included vulnerability review, application code testing, and remediation processes resulting in 100% remediation within 2 weeks.

Senior Client Server Engineer supporting more than 800 nationally based Wintel servers. Cyber-attack team representative providing detailed review, reporting and remediation of all Windows server vulnerabilities. Actively worked with the development of the company’s security patch management plan. Responsible for the implementation of new server security policies, and standards. Member of the Initial Response Unit for the Disaster Recovery Team, assisting with planning, testing, documentation and recovery of critical systems. Functioned as the team leader for large projects including Y2K Server Remediation, local and remote application upgrades, and the company’s antivirus replacement team.
