Sean has 10+ year experiences in solution proposal/design/pre-sales and delivery in ICT solutions. His professional skills and research interests include Internet Protocol TV (IPTV), Over the Top (OTT), Internet of Things (IOT), Big Data Analyics, telematics networks, information retrieval, mining software repositories, semantic web, and information visualization. After he joined Ericsson, he took the role of a solution architect for the Ericsson Recommendation/Advertisement (ERA) platform and Management PC (MPC) for the MOD product in ChungHwa Telecom. He is responsible for communicating the customers to figure out the requirements and defines the architecture the system/solution, including the high level design and interfaces with multi-team or/and with multi-vendors. When he worked for Telcordia Technologies, he has been involved in a 3-year project for developing a telematics platform and its services. His work has resulted in development and evaluation of context-awareness applications/services based on the developed telematics platform for mobile devices and on board units. These applications/services contribute towards the development of future Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) with the focus on context-awareness services and collaborative driving. He was also involved in developing a machine-to-machine (M2M) platform and its applications on power meters and smart tourism services.In academics, he was the co-organizer of the workshop of Semantic Web-based R&D Trend Analysis on Big Data in the 2nd Joint International Semantic Technology Conference (JIST 2012) and has been serving as program committees in several international conferences and workshops, such as the IEEE CPSCom 2013 (TFWS 2013), UCAWSN-13 (DIIK 2013), IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics (IEEE SMC 2012), and IEEE International Conference on Cyber, Physical, and Social Computing (CPSCom 2012), etc.
