I have worked more than 30 years in newspapers, radio and television. As well as onscreen reporting I often operate as a video journalist - filming and editing my own reports. During my career in the BBC I have reported from the Commonwealth Games, helped establish a new role of regional television News Organiser and also spent a year as a local radio News Editor managing a team of reporters, producers and presenters. For 18 months I reported regularly on air for BBC News 24.But it all began when I was just 13 and helped launch a school newspaper. A few years later I had an excellent grounding as a trainee reporter on the Crawley Observer weekly newspaper, then moved into daily papers with the Evening Argus in Brighton. I gained my first job in broadcasting with the commercial radio station Southern Sound FM when I was appointed to help establish the news service for their new East Sussex franchise and worked for 18 months as a news reader and on-the-spot reporter before joining the BBC.

  I am a Senior Broadcast Journalist at BBC South, predominantly working as a Reporter for the regional television news programme South Today. I also report for the BBC news channel and on the BBC 1 programmes Sunday Politics and Inside Out (regional documentary). Additionally I report on BBC Radio Solent and BBC Sussex.
