In 2004, Sean joined Nipsea Chemical as Head of Corporate Service and took overall responsibility of finance, general admin, procurement and SCM. In 2016, Sean also took responsibility of New Business Development and led the operation to expand business in new areas such as industrial coatings and hydrophilic coatings. Now he is also responsible for global business strategy and marketing as vice chair of Surf Group which was established early 2022 within Nippon Paint Group. His role is to accelerate collaboration within all Surf members to promote Surf technologies for new customers in the globe. In 2023, he was also appointed as president of Nippon Paint Marine Korea, which is a Korean operation of marine coating business under Nippon Paint Group. From October 2023, he took overall responsibility and leadership of Nipsea Chemical as general manager.Sean graduated with a Bachelor’s of Civil Environmental Engineering from Korea University, and started his career as a marketing manager at Atari, which was one of the biggest company in video game industry. Sean believes “Work as a team with no silo” is most important for business success, so he has been enjoying working with all the colleagues within Nippon Paint Group for his career. Sean has strong knowledge and experience in Mfg Finance/Financial Modelling & Analysis, Driving Business Excellence of overall operation, New Business Development, Operation/Project mgt, Maintenance of Sustainable Cost Structure, also has excellent understanding of Business Process improvement.
