Test executor for environmental and mechanical testing of network routing/switching equipment. Main tasks are to take in a particular project prototype trunk (EUT, which can be a chassis, line card, and/or ecosystem of components) and run them through documented and specified tests using chambers and shaker tables primarily. Once testing is complete (possible ~4-12 weeks long, depending) the data are then collected and recorded into a test report detailing the procedures and results. Including but not limited to:>Trained to run such tests as: >Temperature/Humidity for non operational transportation/storage or operational field deployment >Shock/Vibration (Random, Sine Sweeps, Halfsine, Trapezoidal, Seismic, Transport Bump, Fragility…) >Altitude (invented a new method for sealing the chamber) >Strain (mounted >30 6-wire 2mm dia. strain sensors to high density SMD PCBs) >Drop testing (introduced burst photography for recording tests to capture fall in sections)>Responsible for keeping track of EUT’s and all ancillary equipment through testing cycle>Used Red Hat/Telnet/SSH/VNC/remote desktops/Cisco IOS/IOS XR/Diags. to talk to EUT’s and record system information >Installed/mounted/booted routers remotely for project setup>Set up traffic generators for different levels and line rates of traffic (1-100Gbps, VLAN, IP Using IXIA) >Configured network cabling such as AC/DC power, RJ45, BNC, SMA(B,C), MPO, SC, LC>Worked with all types of fiber optic equipment including SFP’s, QSFP’s, MM/SM, SR/LR, attenuators>If failure occurs, a bug report is filed with detailed info on how/when/what with photo documentation and log files>Maintained lab (became source of knowledge about workings of lab equipment and repair) >Developed new systems/methodologies of executing tests (automated data recording bash script, tool organization, chamber seals, shaker table fixture response study, documentation optimization, template creation)
