Sean Matenaar is the co-founder of Pricelab, who use the science of pricing to help organisations make smarter pricing decisions and develop consumer-centric pricing strategies. This enables our clients to remove guesswork, react faster to competitors, run pricing simulations and scientifically optimise price points - delivering more accurate forecasting, a higher ROI and greater share of wallet.Before starting Pricelab, Sean spent four years as Head of Pricing at British American Tobacco leading the transformation of the pricing strategy from being commercially focused to incorporating an insight-led approach driving long term sustainability. Prior to BAT, Sean worked at the Global Headquarters of Red Bull in Austria as International Field Sales Manager responsible for the development and implementation of a global CRM, Perfect Store concept KPI’s and development of an internal Field Sales consulting task force developing capability of top 30 markets.Sean also worked for Red Bull Australia for four years as Sales Systems Manager implementing an end-to-end pricing solution as well as Unilever Australia as the Customer Implementation Exec after completing Unilever’s graduate sales program.Sean holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology majoring in Business Information Systems from the University of Wollongong.Outside of Pricelab, Sean enjoys home renovation, overseas travel having visited 40 countries and counting, spending time at the beach and cooking up a storm in his new kitchen.
