I have 10 years experience in environmental research and risk management roles and have held leadership positions since 2018. In 2021, I transitioned into the private sector, where I am recognised for being able to operate effectively across all levels of the business and deliver on ambitious work plans that enhance environmental performance.In my current role I am responsible for building and implementing the environmental management system for Australia's largest producer of structural timber products. I am also required to design, budget, and manage the delivery of environmental projects across six sawmill sites. I am the primary liaison for community members and environmental regulators for these sawmills, which are located across three Australian states. I am also leading the formulation the business' sustainability strategy as Chair of its Sustainability Working Group. I have extensive experience in quantitative research focused on decision-making in multi-use landscapes, and have peer-reviewed publications in world-leading scientific journals, including Nature and Science.
