After 20 years with Keegan Alexander, I joined Forty Eight Shortland Barristers and commenced practice as a barrister sole in January 2022. I continue the full range of litigation work I have been engaged in throughout my career.

I started at Keegan Alexander as a staff solicitor in 2001. I spent a year living in Rarotonga working for what was then the main law firm in the country. I had a broad litigation practice, both civil and criminal.

Judges' clerks provide their judges with support in the form of research, opinions and proofing draft judgments. I consider the experience gained from that kind of work quite unique and an excellent foundation for a career in litigation. The opportunity to acquire an "inside view" of the internal workings of the judicial process is very valuable.
