Underwriting Technician - PropertyKey Responsibilities include:-Assist Underwriters with workflow management, ensuring consistent and accuratebooking information and that all operational KPIs are met.- Support the Property team in the underwriting process; sending off CAT modellingrequests, data cleansing, reviewing reports and forming an initial pricing analysisusing rating tools.- Support Management in producing and monitoring a portfolio view of the business.- Participate in reporting and external engagement with customers for receivables,ensuring all credit control issues are resolved in a timely manner.- Also originally supported Marine and A&H teams, as well as assisting with training of new starters.

Worked in a small team consisting of two Senior Underwriters and the EMEA Regional Head of Construction where I was exposed to a wide range of market leading CAR and EAR construction projects on a global scale. Key responsibilities included:- Processing all data entry for slips and endorsements. Setting up Underwriting files and trackers for new policies.- Entry of information into pricing tools, sending policies off for location capture and catastrophe modelling, tracking potential accumulations. - Reviewing new policies and endorsements to provide a summary for the Underwriters. Researching upcoming projects.- Communication with brokers.- Producing a monthly KPI Dashboard to track premium income targets, geographic exposure, rate trends, segment spread and broker relationships. - Contributed to yearly portfolio analysis reports tracking loss ratios and performance trends for distribution to Underwriting Management. - Supporting the Operations team with centralised functions including peer reviews, terrorism returns, tax queries and the training of new staff members.

- Two placements providing assistance to the underwriting department in the summer break from University in 2013 and 2014.-Duties included: Inputting data into Excel spread sheets, using software systems such as GED & Omega and sorting through old company records.- Was offered a full time job on completion of masters degree.
