I manage the relationship between 3rd party suppliers and vendors and oversee tender and contract management in accordance with government regulations.I have created an environment of high performance and engagement through directed focus, empowerment which drives accountability across the technical teams and removing blocks for the team where possible. I keep abreast of new innovations in technology and local market knowledge from a variety of channels.I organise, prepare and facilitate annual audits for cyber-security, Computing, Infrastructure and GDPR compliance and demonstrate strong financial acumen and effective controls and measures through the management of CAPEX and OPEX budgets. I set the annual policy for IT, ILT in the college, Health & Safety and Business Continuity in consultation with Teaching and Learning Managers and SLT. Undertake external collaboration with other colleges in Kent (through the Kent Further Education IT managers group) and the UK through the Jisc Eastern Region Technical Managers.Selected Accomplishments:• Successfully migrated on premise files and email to MS Office 365. • Relocated the Data Centre and installed new Hyper-converged SAN equipment.• Led the multi factor authentication and mobile device management in MS Azure AD including Information Protection (GDPR) to deliver further securities in document management.• Gained business case approval to migrate from Cisco Call Manager to Skype for Business to enable unified communication and collaboration technology. • Delivered efficiencies through re-engineering the Mac/PC management process. Deployed MUNKI open source technology to automatically update and deploy software and drivers for the Macs. Used Group Policy and Azure AD for the PC’s, laptops and tablets.
