My Duties included set up and operation of an Amada Quattro and Mazak super turbo x48 mk2 laser cutting systems. I also programmed, set up and operated a Heager 824 window touch insert press. I also set up and operated a DiArco insert press as well as a Heager insert press with auto feed.

The duties of my position included the installation of large laser based sheet metal processing systems. The systems were 2D and 3D CNC controlled machining centers. My responsibilities during installation ranged from site lay out and outside vendor scheduling to placing and leveling the machine to within a 0.002mm tolerance. I am well versed in the reading of European and US style schematics as well as layout drawings. The responsibilities of the position related to service and ranged from basic preventative maintenance to troubleshooting and repair of systems that were down. I am well versed in the use of most electronic/electrical diagnostic testing tools such as DVM and Oscilloscopes. The position also required interaction with customers via phone and internet to research part price and availability.

The position I held was regional service engineer. I was responsible for approximately 60 systems in the Northeast region of the United States. I provided preventative maintenance contract service for many customers following established technical protocol. I also provided a customer interface with corporate staff from Japan. The position required the installation of new systems as well as the removal and relocation of older systems. I am competent in the use of Japanese based schematics and hydraulic system drawings. I am familiar with many precision optical alignment tools and electronic/electrical test equipment. I have excellent oral and written communication skills.

My position as classroom instructor required presentation of operator and maintenance training to customers and corporate service engineers. I was also the reserve CNC programming instructor for manufacturer specific software. As a trainer I developed the curriculum that I presented to students. I developed the tests and metrics that we used to evaluate and improve the training. The training department became ACET certified when I was a part of it. I am a Langevin Learning Systems certified master trainer. I am versed in the adult learning methodology and competent in the use of Microsoft Office Software.
